Espresso time 10 min colouring
I was a little bit sceptical when Nouvelle launched this product, though. I had used Express colourings from other brands with lesser results. Since I am incredibly happy with all the other Nouvelle products, I thought it was just fair to try this out too.
Espresso Time colouring is actually not just paint. It contains an entire system for optimal colouring, protection, and care....Color Barrier, Pre-Color Equaliser, Colour Cream and Developer, Color Block Intense acid Ph conditioner, and Stain Remover.
The service starts by applying the Colour Barrier to the hairline to protect the skin from blemishes. I find this Cream super because it stays on well (i.e., does not run out) and is easy to remove while washing.
After applying the Colour Barrier, the hair can be replenished with the Pre-Colour Equaliser. This product evens out the porosity of the hair to ensure that the colour result becomes even in the mid-lengths and ends while massaging through and/or rinsing out. I also use this for optimal results during all other permanent colourings and am happy with the results. This product smells incredibly nice like chocolate and you will get a lot of nice comments from clients.
The third step in the Espresso Time treatment is mixing and applying the colour. You mix the colour Cream with the special 27 vol. developer with a 1:1 ratio and they are easy and quick to mix together. You get a Cream with the perfect texture. Thick enough that it stays put and doesn't run out and liquid enough that it fully penetrates the hair. The natural shades, brown shades, and ash brown shades can be used alone, but the gold, double ash, copper, and red shades should be mixed with a natural shade to ensure good coverage.
10 minutes after applying the Colour Cream, follow the same steps as other colour treatments. Add water, emulsify colour, rinse, and wash. Then use the Stain Remover to remove stains from the skin. After washing, spray hair with the Colour Block acid Ph Intense Conditioner and comb through to distribute. Wait 3-5 minutes and rinse it out. After a few minutes, you will feel that the hair is much smoother and very easy to detangle. This conditioner seals the hair cuticles to make the colour last even longer. This product also smells great! The effect of this conditioner is so great, I use it with all colour treatments. For me this really is an indispensable product.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Espresso Time system works! The colours are rich, full, natural, and of course very well dekend. To maximise your time in the salon without sacrificing quality, Espresso Time system is a great product, and what I also like is that it includes versatile products.
